In 2001, I along with several from my company were designated to go to Utah Salt Lake City and set up a contingency operations as a practice run for the 2002 winter Olympics. We spent about 2 weeks setting up the operations center and running drills at a small National Guard base a short distance outside the city. Unfortunately we never got to go to the real thing. That whole 9-11 thing happened, and the Army's plans for us changed. So instead of going to Utah for the Winter Olympics in 2002 I went to Uzbekistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. Most of these pictures are right around the base as I didn't have a way to go anywhere.
