| These are
postcards that have been collected over the years, and put together in
one large book. Some of them are beautiful, and some are just neat, some
have writing on them and some don’t, but they all offer a little insight
into our family, and the time periods in which they were made.
Alltogether there are 220 postcards consisting of 378
pictures counting front and backs. If you have your screen resolution set
to 1024 X 768 these postcards will appear at approximately at there
actual size(at least they do on the computer I built
this site on). If your screen resolution is set higher, most likely the
postcards will appear small and will be harder to read. I have increased
the contrast on the backs of most cards to make it easier to read them.
I also have high resolution copies of all these postcards which I did
not put on my website due to the fact that they would take up too much
space and take far too long to load a webpage. If you are in the family
and would like a better copy of one of the postcards Just email me, and
I will be happy to email it to you. If you would like better copies of
all the post cards, I would ask you to get permission from my Aunt
Susan, as the actual postcards are in her passion, and belong to my Aunt
Margaret. If it is ok with Aunt Susan then I will mail you a CD with the
high resolution pictures on it. I regret that due to time constraints I
had to stop scanning the backs of the postcards if there was no writing.
The process of scanning them was just begging to take too long, and I
had other pictures and information I was trying to get at the time. Not
to mention that I was on vacation with family I hadn’t seen in years and
was supposed to be visiting with the family rather than hiding in there
office for several days. |
