![]() Coral formation at Ohna Point. The floor of the cavern is almost completely covered during high tide, and and only partially covered during during low tide tide, allowing you to easy walk around inside. There is a short cave that starts in the cavern and works its way out to the left of the formation. The cave becomes completely filled during during high tide and lowers enough during low tide so that you can swim under the entrance to the cave. The cave is lit from underneath by light reflecting through the water from the outside entrance, lighting only the water and leaving the top of the cave dark. To navigate through the cave you will have to do a bit of swimming but mostly walking in chest deep water. In all its a very neat and beautiful little place. |

![]() Different part of the same cavern. |
![]() The short cave I was talking about above can be accessed by the crevice you see in the center of this picture. As you slip off the rounded rock you will be in water a bit more than chest deep and you will need to swim to be able to move, its pretty narrow and the entrance is low so you duck under water and swim though the entrance into the little cave. |
![]() Ohna Point is a favorite place for many people to go not only because it has great diving but because it has plenty of beach area, a huge shallow area for kids to play in and great snorkeling in between dives, or for those that aren't diving. |

![]() Coral Pillar out near Ohna Point. Yes its out in the water, and yes I had to climb it for no reason. |
![]() My Toyota Tureno that I tortured for the two years that I was in Okinawa, this is in a field at Ohna Point. This car was completely abused for the two years I had it, going many places is should have never gone, like going to Ohna point where mostly 4 wheel drive vehicles or those with a much higher wheal base go. In all by the time I was done with it I had replaced two CV joints, the clutch master cylinder, and ripped the exhaust system off, which I never bothered to replace. |
![]() Sea Urchin, I don't really remember where I took this picture but there were enough of them that it could have been anywhere. These little suckers can prove to be quite a pain especially when your walking on coral and there spins poke through you neoprene boots. |
![]() An old bunker on the East China Sea side of the island. I found it just walking along the beaches one day. |
![]() Somewhere on the Pacific Ocean Side of Okinawa. |
![]() I had a tendency to get in my car and just drive anytime I had some time off, this resulted in me not knowing precisely where I was a lot of the time, it didn't really matter though because by enlarge you can only go north or south, if you go east or west you will hit one of the two main highways on either side of the island and the know how to get back to where you need to be. |
![]() Well what all that stuff above means, is that many times I didn't know where I was or what I was taking pictures of, like these pictures. All I rightly know is that this is on the Pacific Ocean coast. |
