Its nighttime, it’s raining, and I’m board. So what should I do? Yep that’s right go out in the rain and take pictures. Well it seemed like a good Idea at the time. To tell the truth my camera isn’t particularly fond of the rain, and neither am I. But it was raining on and off in short spurts so I could duck under walkways or in buildings for cover. The first picture is of the control tower at the ship docks. It was actually taken on a different rainy night but I don’t remember which night, and it was on the same role of film so it got stuck here. The other pictures are of the “downtown” area where most of us American style people on this here island live. The buildings that you see are the barracks that we civilians and the navy people live in. it actually looks better at night than it does during the day, because during the day it looks more like the projects then where you might want to house a bunch of people working for he navy. The last picture on this page is suffering from big plant syndrome. For those of you not familiar with this syndrome it is a problem commonly experienced by those with cameras and wanting to take pictures outdoors. What happens is that often a large plant will follow you around waiting for you to find that perfect spot and then leap in front of your camera as soon as you snap the picture. In this case the plant didn’t have to be very quick because of the long exposures required for taking the pictures at night.
