| With little to do this day it
was decided that I would go out to the plantation. I had also
decided that I wanted to focus more on taking pictures from the
insides of the buildings rather than the outsides, it being a rather
hot day as it usually is, it didn't particularly bother me that it
would also be cooler in the buildings than in the sun. I
didn't get started as early in the day as I had wanted, and due to
the bus schedule I only had two hours to play around. There wasn't
anything of particular interest to me, so I just started off with
the church, I wasn't sure I could do much with it, being as it is
rather plain and not all that impressive. But figuring that how
interesting the pictures were depended as much on the person taking
the pictures as what was being photographed that I should see what I
could do, after a couple of color photographs with my new digital
camera (I just got it this month, and these are the first real
pictures I have taken with it) I thought it would be better to go
with black and white as these buildings tend lend themselves more to
that end. I really only ended up going through 3 buildings, the
church, the plantation house, and a small one room building. All in
all it was much better than being stuck in my room for yet another
day, and turned out some interesting photos. Just as a little note
the background on this page was taken from one of the photos I took
of a tree stump as was the background on my home page. |
